Bradbury Science Museum
-- The Bradbury Science Museum offers programs that teach, amuse, entertain, and inspire students
to learn more about the world around them. The overall goal is to expose the students to fun and
interesting science topics, with an emphasis on the variety of cutting-edge research done at Los
Alamos National Laboratory.
Intel in Your Community -
New Mexico -- Intel actively supports K-12 science, math, engineering, and technology
curriculum development. Intel is currently partnering with local schools to install high-technology
manufacturing curriculum at the high school level.
Los Alamos Space
Science Outreach -- The Science Education Team and space science groups at Los Alamos
National Laboratory are committed to the improvement of space science education throughout the
state of New Mexico and the nation as a whole. Through a variety of enhancement programs, the teams have
helped students and teachers increase not only their space science content knowledge, but also
their critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Mathematics, Engineering,
Science Achievement, New Mexico -- MESA is a program designed to increase the numbers of
African American, Hispanic, American Indian, and women students in mathematics, engineering,
and science careers.
Museum of Natural
History & Science -- The mission of the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science
is to foster an understanding and appreciation of the diverse natural history and physical
sciences of New Mexico and the Southwest for the benefit of residents of, and visitors to, New
Mexico. The Museum provides educational experiences and promotes scientific inquiry through
focused collections, research, public programs and exhibitions.
Museum of Space History --
The mission of the museum in Alamogordo is to educate the people of New Mexico and our visitors from around the
world in the history, science, and technology of space. The museum stresses the significant role
that the state of New Mexico has played in the development of the U.S. Space Program through
collecting, preserving, and interpreting significant artifacts relevant to the history of space.
New Mexico BioHistory -- Learn about
significant milestones in the historical development of New Mexico's biotechnology &
medical technology industry.
New Mexico Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
-- The New Mexico PTA's mission is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the
schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make
decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and
protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of
this nation.
New Mexico Science Olympiad
-- The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality
of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition for outstanding
achievement in science education by both students and teachers. These goals are accomplished
through classroom activities, research, training workshops and the encouragement of intramural,
district, regional, state and national tournaments.
New Mexico Science Teachers Association
-- The New Mexico Science Teachers Association (NMSTA) mission is to provide a network for
educators throughout the state to work collaboratively towards improving science education from
pre-kindergarten through college. The NMSTA assists classroom teachers by providing guidance and
strategies through professional development opportunities the enhance science education.
